Clark Haken

Farm-boy, gardener, model, mail-carrier, singer, teacher and traveler—just some of the life experiences Clark carried into the director’s position in 2007. A southwest Minnesota native (Bigelow) and life-long member of First Reformed Church in Sibley, Clark graduated from Northwestern College of Orange City, having studied education and psychology. He believes his life experience was important preparation for assuming the role of director. “The privilege of listening to people and/or lending a helping-hand is what we’re about.” he says. “At the end of the day it’s all that matters—having helped someone somehow is our highest calling.”

An enthusiast of things green and growing, Clark makes a “mean” salsa and enjoys the fruits of his vegetable garden all year long. When not working on his yard, Clark would be happiest scuba-diving, sky diving or boarding a plane for an overseas destination.
